It is known that historically the wild grapevine flourished throughout Georgia, including the slopes of Mtatsminda. That is why the Development and Environment Foundation, within the framework of the “Tbilisi Urban Forest” project, with the point cooperation of the Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation grant and the National Wine Agency, planted wild (Krikina) vines on the slopes of Mtatsminda.
A typical representatives of Georgian flora is widespread in both parts of the country, up to 1000-1200 metres above sea level. A protected plant, included in the “Red Book”. This plantation has been realized in the framework of the Development & Environment Foundation project “Tbilisi Urban Forest”, in cooperation with the Rustaveli National Science Foundation grant and the National Wine Agency.
